The Explorers Method
Our soon to be available internationally available curriculum, The Explorers Method, underpins every World Explorers program. Two decades in the making, it blends:
Play-based learning Inquiry and project work
Culturally responsive teaching
Nature, emotional growth, and global awareness
This new curriculum will soon be available to schools, educators, and families who share our vision for human-centered, imagination-rich education.
At World Explorers, we’ve spent over 20 years building a model of education that protects something increasingly rare in childhood: imagination. The Explorers Method, our signature curriculum, is the heart of every program we offer—from our vibrant preschool classrooms in Brooklyn and Greenville, to our outdoor afterschool adventures, to the soon-to-launch sleepaway camp at Beulah Land Farms.
And now, for the first time, this curriculum will be made available to families, educators, and schools around the world.
The Explorers Method is more than a set of lesson plans. It’s a living approach to teaching and learning that blends:
Play-based discovery, where creativity takes the lead
Hands-on inquiry and real-world projects that spark lasting curiosity
Personalized teaching, where every child’s experiences and questions matter
Connection to nature, encouraging care for the Earth and clarity of mind
Emotional and social growth, helping children build empathy, confidence, and resilience
Whether it’s a toddler tasting fresh herbs in our classroom, a 6-year-old building a cardboard city during afterschool, or a 10-year-old leading a team hike at Beulah Land, every child in our programs is living the Explorers Method.
