Camp groups are based on the grade your child will enter in the 2027–2028 school year, except for Clubhouse Explorers.Clubhouse: Age 2-4 (Campers born 2023, 2024, and 2025)School Age: Kindergarten -5th Grade (Campers born between 2022 and 2017)

Explorers are assigned to smaller groups to ensure age-appropriate experiences, individual attention, and safety.Each age group offers activities tailored to campers’ developmental stages:Clubhouse: For children age 2-4 (typically born 2023-2025). Campers focus on play-based learning, discovery, and exploration. Activities are tailored to each child’s developmental stage, interests, and abilities, with plenty of opportunities for creative play, sensory experiences, outdoor adventures, and social interaction. Jr. Backpackers: For children entering Kindergarten (typically born in 2022). This play-based program introduces new skills and experiences in an age-appropriate setting.Backpackers: For children entering 1st–2nd grade (typically born in 2020–2021). Campers explore new interests and develop skills in a structured environment that encourages independence.Trailblazers: For children entering 3rd–5th grade (typically born in 2017–2019). Campers build confidence, develop personal interests, and grow their independence.

We maintain a 1:5 adult-to-camper ratio on trips. At our home base, the ratio is 1:6 for children under age 6 and 1:8 for children ages 6 and up.

Yes! Nap time is built into the daily schedule for Clubhouse Explorers. Campers who no longer nap will participate in quiet activities during this time.

Yes! Breakfast, lunch, and a snack are included in the camp day. Families are welcome to send additional nut-free food for their camper. We will send out a weekly menu to all camp families. We encourage children to try our foods and always encourage healthy habits. If your child is a picky eater, we suggest nut-free healthy snacks to supplement, if necessary.

Yes. You are welcome to pack your camper additional food, as long as it is nut free. We are a nut-free program.

All campers must wear our signature camp shirt and carry their backpack everyday. One kit is included for the summer season which includes two camp shirts and a backpack. Additional t-shirts are available for purchase on our website.Campers receive their camp kit during their first day of camp.

Camp T-shirt: All campers must wear their World Explorers orange t-shirt while attending the summer camp program. Comfortable, non slip shoes: No crocs, no flip flopsCampers will receive two camp shirts on their first day of attendance. Families may purchase additional shirts on our website.

Crocs and flip-flops are NOT allowed in camp! We’re very active and campers can easily slip or trip on them. Shoes must have ankle straps.Personal toys and electronics Personal cell phones must be kept in your child's backpack. Money - please do not send your child with money. We cover all trip expenses and do not visit souvenir shops. Explorers will not need money for any reason unless explicitly noted in the itinerary details of the weekly email.

Please ensure your child arrives:Wearing water-resistant sunscreen on all exposed skinWearing a swimsuit under their camp clothesBringing a towel and a complete change of dry clothes, including underwearSlip-resistant water shoes (No crocs, no flip flops)Please label all belongings with your child’s first and last name.

We try our best to accommodate group and friend requests. Please make any requests 1-2 weeks in advance. Note that same day friend requests may not always be possible.

Safety is our priority. During severe weather, such as thunderstorms or extreme heat, we may change outdoor field trips to alternative locations or move water and field day activities indoors.We follow heat advisories and recommendations from the Department of Health. During typical rain, we will do our best to proceed with planned activities.Families will be notified of itinerary changes or delays by email or Brightwheel.

Drop-off: 8:00–9:00 am. The earliest drop-off is 8:00 am, and all Explorers should arrive by 9:00 am. Campers arriving after 9:00 am on trip days may miss the field trip.Pick-up: On a traditional camp day, pick-up is at 3:30 pm. Families enrolled in aftercare can pick up anytime from 3:30–6:00 pm at the same location as drop-off.Sign-in and sign-out: The adult dropping off or picking up signs the camper in or out in the Brightwheel app. Each authorized adult receives a unique 4-digit PIN; scan the QR code on the door and enter your PIN.

All authorized pickups must be added to the Brightwheel app. Authorized adults check out with their unique 4-digit Brightwheel PIN. Everyone on the pickup list must download the Brightwheel app. Anyone without the Brightwheel app must show photo ID.

We understand things happen and offer a 5-minute grace period. After a 5-minute grace period: A $10 late fee will be assessed for every 15 minutes past the 3:30/6:00 pm dismissal time. 1–15 min = $10 · 16–30 min = $20 · 31–45 min = $30. The fees are invoiced at pickup.

Late arrivals: Please notify your child’s counselor or site supervisor through Brightwheel if your child will be late or absent. Camp begins promptly at 9:00 a.m., and arriving on time helps children participate fully and settle into the daily routine. Children arriving after 9:00 a.m. will not receive breakfast.Trip Day Late arrivals: Campers who arrive after 9:00 AM may miss the field trip. There will be no on-site staff to supervise late arrivals. Please ensure your child arrives on time, especially on trip days.Clubhouse Early Pickup: Early pickups must be scheduled outside of nap time, which runs from 12:00–2:00 p.m. Please arrange pickups before noon or after 2:00 p.m. to avoid disrupting rest time. Please notify your child’s counselor or site supervisor through Brightwheel if your child will be picked up early. School Age Early Pickup: Non Trip Days: Please notify your child’s counselor or site supervisor through Brightwheel if your child will be picked up early. Trip Days: Early pickup is not available on Water Days, Playground Tour Days, or Adventure Days because campers are off-site and do not return until approximately 3:30 p.m.

Due to the nature and structure of our programs, we do not offer any make up days.

No! We welcome children who are still working on potty training. Please let us know where your child is in their potty-training journey so we can best support them throughout the camp day.Please provide diapers or pull-ups, along with extra changes of clothing in case of accidents.

Families who register early and commit to more weeks receive the lowest weekly rates.Our standard tuition ranges from $500 to $675 per week, depending on your registration date and length of enrollment.Tuition is calculated separately for each child based on their individual enrollment, the number of weeks they attend, and the applicable registration-period rate.Camp tuition covers the standard camp day from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Yes! Families may choose a payment plan to spread camp tuition across monthly installments. The first installment is due at checkout and confirms enrollment. Yes! We offer a Summer Access Scholarship Program designed to help make summer camp more accessible to families who demonstrate financial need.Through this program, eligible families may have the opportunity to enroll at a reduced rate, generally starting around $200-250 per week depending on family circumstances and available program capacity.

Complete the scholarship application on our website.Scholarship applicants will be notified later in the season once availability and placements have been determined.If your preferred weeks are unavailable, we may offer alternative weeks based on your indicated flexibility. Yes! A 10% sibling discount is available for each additional sibling enrolled in the same camp week. The discount is automatically calculated at checkout. If your children are enrolled in different age groups, please contact our support team at info@worldexplorers.foundation to receive a discount code prior to registration.

Steps: Summer Camp Home Page → Register Now → filter by age → select camp week(s)→ choose your child → Pay in Full or Installment Plan → add to cart → check out.

Log into Sawyer Profile→ Select Calendar from dashboard → find the camp week → Cancel Request → enter a reason → Send Request. Whether you get a credit depends on timing. Rescheduling requests must be submitted at least 7 days before the scheduled camp week. Changes are subject to availability.

Program credits are issued for cancellations made a minimum of 30 days prior to the scheduled camp week. Program credits do not expire and can be applied toward any Explorer program. Program credits will be deposited into your SAWYER account. Refunds are not issued for cancellations.

Health exam form: Completed annually by your child's doctor, including all required immunizations. The physical exam date must be within 365 days of attendance. Immunization records or visit summaries alone don't qualify. Upload in Brightwheel or email health@worldexplorers.foundation.Parent & child profile: Create a Sawyer family profile for both guardians and all children, and add a photo to your child's Brightwheel profile. New families receive Brightwheel registration links by email.Authorized pickup list: Completed in Brightwheel with every adult allowed to pick up.Field Trip Permission Slip: Sent via Brightwheel. Must be signed every camp season before the first day.

It must be renewed. We will notify you at the start of the month it expires. Campers cannot attend until a valid form is on file.
